Ripple and Frawg: The Seasonal Song is a game that features friendship, music, and found family. In this game you play as two friends trying to puzzle their way through the environment, using magical instruments. I worked as the narrative design lead. Creating the script, storyboards, cutscenes, and majority of the watercolors. Working with my team to make sure the story would be woven into the gameplay. This game will be available on Steam.
This project shows the development process of the cutscenes in the game. Ripple and Frawg combines 2D and 3D thoughout the game. The characters themselves are 2D moving through a 3D world. The cutscenes are nearly complete 2D aside from the stage elements. One of our main inspirations being Paper Mario.
This was the first engine test, real watercolors were scanned and made into materials.
This next iteration was looking into building on storybook themes.
